About Mount Lookout, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Mount Lookout, OH is one of the many Eastern neighborhoods of Cincinnati. Found overlooking the Ohio River Valley just northwest of Linwood, this community is named after the famed Mount Lookout Observatory. Approximately 5,800 people call the community home, as do three local schools: Cardinal Pacelli, St. Ursula Villa, and Kilgour School.

Despite the small size of Mount Lookout , there are a few interesting things to see and do here. Much of the culture and recreational opportunities are found in Mount Lookout Square, which serves as the community’s lively business district. Local bars and restaurants offer a vibrant nightlife, attracting students from area universities like Xavier, North Kentucky, and the University of Cincinnati). One of the most popular restaurants here is Zip’s Café, which has been in business over 90 years and has one of the best burgers in all of Cincinnati.

Outdoor recreation is also popular in Mount Lookout.  Ault Park is found here, and it houses a neighborhood swim club called the Mount Lookout Swim and Tennis Club. There are several parks and green spaces in the area, as well, which make the region popular for hiking, biking, and walking.

Like much of the Cincinnati region, Mount Lookout is found in a transitional zone between humid continental and subtropical climate zones. Residents can enjoy four distinct seasons throughout the year, beginning with a snowy and cold winter. Average highs reach the 30s, but cold fronts with freezing temperatures are also common. Without the right gas or electric furnace at home – and a good AFUE rating – these conditions can provide serious dangers.

Summer weather is remarkably different. Residents turn off their furnaces in favor of their central air conditioning. Humidity levels are high, and temperatures often reach into the upper 80s. An energy-efficient central air conditioner will cool down indoor temperatures while also providing affordable utility costs.
